Welcome to Bartlett Boneheads Competition BBQ Team web site. We are located in the western Burbs of Chicago IL. Our BBQ teams was established in 2007 when we entered our first competition and won Grand Champion. This was a backyard event and made us wonder if we could compete with the big teams. We competed in one KCBS sanctioned BBQ contest in 2007 and got our butts kicked. I started practicing on the 4 categories and we placed 5th overall in our 1st contest in 2008. We finished 5th in brisket and 6th in chicken. This was the start of a good year for us and we received calls at the remaining 5 contest with a Grand Champion finish in West Chicago IL, a cancer research fund raiser contest. 2009 was not a good year but we did manage top 10 finishes in 4 of the 5 contest we competed in. In 2010 we received Top 10 finishes in all of our contest with a 1st place finish in Ribs at Shannon IL, the largest contest in the state. Not sure what 2011 has in store but I am looking forward to a new year.
